We are but means to an end bricks in a game, we are played by their rules run by their books and it’s all in our heads Today could be the day we stand united and say no more, we’re not gonna play our part, this could be the day Whatever they say, we’re following Whatever they do, we’re following Whatever they take, still following Whatever they make, we’re swallowing, but Today could be the day we stand united and say no more, we’re not gonna take no more, this could be the day

Shout 03:43
Shame, shame on you for what you’ve done Stones will cry, stones will cry Woe, woe to you will come Trees will shout, trees will shout And all, yeah all will fall all, yeah all will fall And all, yeah all will fall on their knees fall on their knees Greed, greedy as the grave and you will pay, you will pay Grave, grave’s your debt and you will pay to the grave, to the grave And all, yeah all will fall all, yeah all will fall And all, yeah all will fall on their knees fall on their knees

Last breath 03:38
There’s a bounty on our heads a judgment initiated There’s no justifying, extenuating circumstances we are all sentenced to death Take one last breath as the world falls apart You’ve got one last call We are all guilty as hell but the King has the right to reprieve so make the call, make obeisance and pray for the golden scepter Take one last breath as the world falls apart You’ve got one last call

about

“The strategic adversary is fascism... the fascism in us all, in our heads and in our everyday behavior, the fascism that causes us to love power, to desire the very thing that dominates and exploits us.”
― Michel Foucault

Political power has evolved from a viewable power seen in the hands of the elite to a more effective one internalized by the controlled masses. The power is upheld by ourselves, the oppressed. This power doesn’t need any judges our prisons. We are the judges and we contain ourselves and others in the prison of our everyday life. We turn against everyone not behaving in the conformed manner demanded by the discourse of our time and compel ourselves to conformity in fear of the judgment of others. But, if we are the keepers of the power oppressing us, then also we must hold the power to liberate. “Today could be” is about just that. We have to acknowledge our part, “the fascism in us”. We have the power to liberate but that has to be a collective act. We have to put aside our court dress and come together in true dialogue. “Today could be the day”.

about

Kvit Sweden

This is Kvit, a shrilling alarm hoping to wake someone up from the big sleep of today. Drawing from a wide range of genres this alternative rock band combines restless vocals, howling guitars, spanking drums, gnarling bass and sweeping synths and makes for a great soundtrack of the collapse. ... more
